South Carolina is one of the most beautiful states if I can say so. I am a bit partial having lived there for about 4 years. The first time I feel in love with this state was when I went on my honeymoon to Hilton Head. Almost everyday we rented bikes and biked around the Island. We stayed in a time share that belong to my grand in-laws.
When we decided to move to South Carolina from Ohio I was 100% on board. We moved to Summerville, Sc. To this day, one of my best friends lives there. It’s bizarre how friendships are, even if we don’t talk for months I feel like we can pick up where we left off and just keep talking. My friend has helped me through some of my toughest times in my life even after I left South Carolina.
Okay enough of that! LOL! There is some really cool things to do in South Carolina. Let’s talk about a few today and then we can talk about the rest in a couple days.
If you like Forts, South Carolina has some of the best Forts around. The one we visited the most was Fort Moultrie. It was a good size fort, a lot of ground to cover for walking. The one that we heard was worth the trip but we never got a chance to do was Fort Sumter. I am determined to take a trip to Charleston and visit some of the places I didn’t get to see.
If you are a nature buff, love swamps and wetlands, Francis Beidler Forest is in Harleyville, it has a nice education center, I could have seen my son spending tons of time in there. Then it has a nice boardwalk, with tons of cypress knees.
